Patagonia Are a Green and Ethical Company
First off we wanted to say we are big fans of Patagonia. They are one of the few big companies out there doing their bit for the planet.
From when they first started, Patagonia has had the climate crisis and the welfare of its employees at the forefront of what they do. They have various initiatives and campaigns that they promote to ensure the well-being and fair treatment of the people who are involved throughout the production and selling process of their items.
As a company, they are also massively passionate about the planet. They donate 1% of their profits to the planet and promote grassroots organisations around the world, trying to protect the planet.
In 2022, the company’s founder, Yvon Chouinard made an unprecedented move and sold all the company’s shares to organisations and movements protecting the planet. Cementing their pledge to put the environment at the centre of the company.
We aim to use the resources we have—our voice, our business and our community—to do something about our climate crisis.Patagonia

The Better Sweater™ and fleece jacket version of it, are some of Patagonia’s most popular jackets and it’s easy to see why. It’s cosy, practical and uses a sustainable dying process.

With princess seams on the back and forward seams on the front, the fit is contoured to compliment your body’s shape. The front zip has a wind flap and kissing-welt closure, which stops any breeze from getting through, keeping you feeling warm. This fleece has zipper handwarmer pockets plus an upper arm pocket.

Women’s Torrentshell 3L Jacket
A waterproof jacket is essential for this time of year. You never know when that beautiful winter’s day might take a turn and it also acts as a good layer to keep you warm without adding too much bulk.
The most important aspect of a waterproof is to keep you dry. The Torrentshell 3L Jacket has a 3-layer H2No® Performance Standard technology to shed water. The layers are laminated together and it uses rip-stop material which makes it even more durable.
The PFC-free DWR finish (perfluorinated chemical-free durable water-repellent coating) means fewer chemicals are used in the production process.
The two-way-adjustable hood fastens at the back and around the face. This ensures a snug fit against your head, protecting you from rain. It also means it won’t catch any wind and risk blowing down. It also has two hip pockets and pit venting zips which allow you to adjust your temperature easily whilst staying dry.
The Torrentshell 3L Jacket has a slim fit in sizes XS – XXL and comes in 9 neutral to bold colours from off-white, to yellow and deep blue.
It has a microfleece-lined neck that is comfortable, with a breathable and waterproof barrier. This jacket also self-stuffs into one of the pockets, making it really easy to carry around whilst weighing only 352 grams.
Women’s Nano Puff® Jacket
The Nano Puff® is another of Patagonia’s most popular items. It’s warm, windproof and water-resistant making it ideal for wintery conditions.

Although the items on this list don’t contain animal fibres or products, Patagonia is unable to confirm whether they are completely vegan. As they cannot confirm what products were used in the production process. In our time researching vegan gear at Veggie Vagabonds, this is not unusual for big brands with a large production line.
